I'm Derek, and I'm glad you stopped by.

I'm a software engineer. I love trying different sports and tinkering with software and embedded systems. There's so much that I want to do and see in this life.

Bottom line

I created this website for a few reasons:

• To share my experiences and learnings in hopes that someone else can learn from it
• I want a place to write that is mine and mine alone.
• Try out writing. I typically only write for myself through journaling. This is my first attempt at writing for a wider audience.
